The Philosophy of Freedom by Rudolf Steiner –
a Study in Seven Saturday Sessions, led by Brian Gray
December 5, 12, 19 of 2020, January 9, 16 and February 6 , 13 of 2021
When asked which of his contributions he considered most significant, Rudolf Steiner replied, “The Philosophy of Freedom will outlast all my other works.” Join us to study together this remarkable book over seven online sessions on Saturdays: December 5, 12, 19 (2020) and January 9 and 16, February 6 and 13 (2021). Each session will be from 11:45a-1:30p, PST. Though this book has a reputation for being difficult to grasp, Brian (who has taught it over 100 times) will actively enliven our study and help bring its key points fully to life. Recommended text is the Michael Lipson translation, Intuitive Thinking as a Spiritual Path: A Philosophy of Freedom, by Rudolf Steiner, Anthroposophic Press. 1995. Please join us in our study!
Why is this remarkable book so life-changing? While working through its “leading thoughts” we will learn to observe the living spiritual activity weaving through our observing and thinking and gain greater certainty in knowing the world. We will then artistically apply these experiences to real, practical life and discover the mysteries of true human freedom.
