Shining Light into a World of Darkness-the Work of the 6th Grade  with Dennis Demanett and Elyse Stussi

A Waldorf class teacher for 40 years, Dennis Demanett completed his fourth class of grades 1-8 and is now currently on his fifth round, teaching fourth grade at the Pasadena Waldorf School.

Elyse Stussi currently is teaching 8th Grade at the Waldorf School of San Diego. She trained at the Nova Institue and has a certificate in Remedial Education.

FAIRY TALES AND SILK MARIONETTES FOR THE YOUNG CHILD with Rena Osmer

Fairytales offer young children a venue for exploring and understanding their environments. There is wisdom hidden in fairytales and they contain powerful images to prevent soul impoverishment as well as provide a path for healing.  This course will explore these ideas through presentations, exercises and discussions each morning.  Students will also create a silk marionette puppet, participate in the building of a stage set, practice gestures that enliven their chosen character, and finally create a silk marionette puppetry performance of a fairytale.

Rena Osmer has been a Waldorf Educator since 1985 and has been training Waldorf Early Childhood teachers for over 20 years. Rena is a founding teacher of Sea Star School, in Boca Raton, Florida.
